dips into the trees can usually shred lighter jackets, but the abrasion-resistant fabric on this BCG coat took direct hits from branches and didn't even snag. Got a Size L so I could layer heavily underneath. Velcro cuffs seal up great over mitts too. Definitely built for rough days in the trees!

Solid build quality all around. The sleeve pass pocket makes scanning at the lift gates effortless, and all the outer zippers are fully taped and water-resistant so my phone stayed dry all day. Grabbed a Size S and it has a nice, clean athletic silhouette without feeling restrictive across the shoulders.

The F1 race-inspired aesthetic on this jacket is insane in person! Took my Size M out during a heavy, wet snowstorm in Tahoe and the 3-layer Teflon shell literally repelled everything, water was just sliding right off. The collar structure on this jacket is a game changer on freezing chairlift rides. It sits high enough to cover my lower face without pressing uncomfortably against my chin. Wore my Size M with a base layer and fleece underneath and stayed super warm and shielded from 30mph gusts.

Super impressed with how breathable this jacket is for a heavy-duty 3L shell. Was doing some backcountry side-country hiking and as soon as I got warm, I unzipped the pit vents for instant airflow. The stretch powder skirt also stayed snapped tight when dropping into deep powder. Feels like a $700+ technical shell easily.
