I used them for a ski traverse for the first time and I was afraid I was going to be too cold. I was able to put two long johns underneath and the NANDN pants on top protected very well from cold and wind. The ventilation openings on both outside and inside the legs were really helpful to cool down when I was too hot. The pockets in the front were really nice and roomy to keep the phone handy to check the gpx track. The belt sealing the belly was very good in protecting from the snow and wind draft. The color was brilliant! I could be spotted from miles on the glaciers. Overall these pants were very comfortable and fit for backcountry skiing and they did do a great job on my ski traverse!
These pants are great if you need warm outdoors insulated and water-resistant pants.
