We got this hat for my wife to go boating. The orange scheme and three-tone design, which gives it a somewhat funky. A really buff young man on a surfboard could wear this and make it look fashionable, on me or my wife it is just funky, in a fun kind of way. But the hat works great to stay on her head in the wind. The pockets on both sides are handy, and the chin straps ensure a secure fit. I could see this feature being essential for river kayaking, ocean kayaking, skiing, surfing, etc. It is also comfortable.
